Gourmet's 80's cocktails

I know it's not a Thirsty Thursday, but I do have something I think will be inspiring when it comes to selecting your signature drink.  Check out Gourmet's drinks for the decades.  Since I'm an 80's baby, I thought I would share their favorite 80's cocktails.  They've also got recipes from the 1940's, 50's, 60's, & 70's!  Below are some tempting drink shots of the 80's cocktails!  Enjoy!

Martha Stewart Cupcakes

Cupcakes are a huge trend in the wedding industry these days.  In fact, more and more couples are turning to cupcakes than the traditional wedding cake.  Here are the reasons why I love the idea of cupcakes for your big day or any special event:

1. they can make a huge statement at your wedding (or any other event),

2. there's no fuss over a "cake-cutting" service fee (meaning, they're so easy to distribute), and

3. they're so much easier to make yourself, because decorating a cake takes major skills & lots of practice.

I went all Betsy Crocker this weekend, and decided to make some yummy cupcakes.  Call me Betty {Crocker}, Duncan {Hines}, or Sarah {Lee}... they were good.  I filled the yellow cupcakes with chocolate, and iced them with the perfect tint of green & added a couple of jelly beans on top {which made it look like Easter eggs}.  I don't have the photos ready yet {because I'm not a photographer, & I'm pretty lazy when it comes to uploading photos}, but I thought I would add some eye candy for you to feast on!  Aren't they scruptious?

As I mentioned before, I get a bunch of daily/weekly emails from some of my favorite magazines, websites, etc.  I just have a habit for subscribing to these "updates", despite the fact that some may consider it "SPAM", but whatev!  I got this email from Food & Wine today, and the following caught my eye:

 As you can see, it's hard to resist the headline + the delicious photo.  Kudos to whoever was in charge of this part of the email.  It caught my eye right away!  So, here are some of my favorite cheesecakes, brownies, + chocolate desserts of the ones they mention!

Orange Appeal...

I spent all weekend debating on whether or not I should attempt an inspiration board based on orange.  Well, here it is.  Orange you glad?  Well, I think I have covored all the bases of red-carpet worthy, mellow yellow, green with envy, true to blue, heart for purple, passion for pink, brownie points, and my favorite b+w.  I have even given you a "nice day" for a white wedding... so I thought it was time to hit you with the orange.
