Despite prepping my guest posts, doing my WIR, spending some time with my mom at the mall, and doing date night on Saturday night with O, I was able to squeeze this DIY project in {just barely!} I was inspired by Eddie Ross's Tray Chic post back in January. Please excuse (1) the lack of professionalism in the photos {wanted to get them up here ASAP}, and (2) the fact that it's not really as chic as Eddie's. It was my first time, and my tray didn't have right angles...
I started with this green tray I picked up at a garage sale for $1.
These are the supplies I used: 3M Super 77 Adhesive spray, box cutter + blade, ruler, masking tape, sand paper, pencil, & cardboard backing. Crocodile-textured paper {not shown below}.
It took me forever to outline the tray. Like I said, I was silly and tried to tackle a project with slanting angles... extremely difficult. After outlining some templates, I finally made my cuts, and sprayed the back of the crocodile-textured paper.
I had to put the pieces on, one side at a time, and this is the finished product!
When I have time, I will make a cute display of alcohol {and probably the martini glasses I mentioned on Friday}. Until then, enjoy! This weekend flew by so quickly!
